Last Night In Montreal

I've always been a fan of suspense-ish/mystery type stories.
Last Night In Montreal fits that.
And even better, it's really well written with everything constantly changing between now and the past.

There is a girl who just can't stay in 1 place for a long time.
As a result, relations don't really work out.
She really can't remember the past, she just knows that she's been on the run for as long as she can remember.

The main character is one who was in a relationship with her.
One day, she just gets up and leaves.
And he's stung by this... and decided to follow her from NY to Montreal to make sure she's okay.

He follows, without knowing where exactly she is.
He meets someone that knows, but won't tell him.
And meanwhile, we keep getting flashbacks of the past... of her on the run (with her father).
And then it all comes to an abrupt end.

And you, like the characters, are left wondering... was it really worth it?

I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to read Emily Mandel's next book.
Give it a shot... you won't be disappointed.
(And if you are, don't blame me for your bad taste in books.)
