The Lost Symbol

I loved The DaVinci Code. No problem admitting that.
I think I loved Angels & Demons, but I really don't remember it.
Something hit me while reading The Lost Symbol though... they're all the same.

I mean...
Robert Langdon gets called in. Someone is dead/missing.
Langdon is looking for something, based on clues.
Langdon has a ton of knowledge about whatever is up.
A female relative of the missing/dead expert ends up teamed up with Langdon.
Langdon pisses off the cops.
And the chase is on, as Langdon ends up in contact with another expert.

I loved it the first time around.
But it'd be nice if he'd try something different.

That said, it's not a really bad story.
Just... it's nothing different.
