Fall Break

It's fall break!
One week without school.

Well, except for the paper I have to write for a group project by the middle of next week, and the 2 days of work.

But still.. fall break!

And then 2 tests on the first 2 days back...

Summer Textbooks

Just picked up my 2 summer textbooks (1 class, 2 books).
$147.

Is that good or bad?

Sad Truth

I just wrote an email to a friend (mostly about my views on religion and god and all that) that would be 8249 characters too long for a tweet on twitter. That's sad... I had no idea I had that much to say.

(Note... this still doesn't make me happy though. My grades from this past semester = uber-depressing.)

Oh FUCK

My semester totally kicked my ass.
And just like that, dreams are starting to shatter all around me.
(Well, fine... just dream... singular. My dream.)

Damn It!

So, my schedule for fall semester was looking fairly good.
A couple bio classes, and a couple econ classes to help me almost finish my major.

Then I get an e-mail from the Econ department saying that one of the classes I'd signed up for (Econ elective and it filled the stupid diversity requirement) had been moved from Monday & Wednesday morning/afternoon to Thursday night. Now, I can't take night classes (4:35 to 7:35 or so) because UTA is stupid and doesn't serve Sandy (at least not where I live) that late (bastards).

So now I can't take that class. Leaving me with the need of 3 Econ classes in the spring (because all the ones I want to take in the fall are late class or overlap with other classes). And that damned diversity requirement, unless I find some other class (they all look so stupid and pointless though).

And the econ department requires 1 class in the "history/thought" sections (it'd be 2, but I took the horribly planned out by the department half-semester econometrics class this semester)... and all the ones that seem even partially interesting are given late night slot. What? The? FUCK!?!?

I mean seriously... it's the most annoying thing ever. There are like no classes I want to take. Plus the entire department has very few math-based classes (just the required "Math for economists" and stats and econometrics). I so hate it.

Yes, I'm frustrated. Supposedly, holding anger in is bad... and I've got so much anger built up in me from over the past how-many ever years (I've always been one to hold it in)... that I can't hold much more in. That said, I'm still pretty sure I'd feel the same way about the department even if I hadn't been building up anger since whenever.

End rant.
You may now continue with your lives.

March...

Sucks.

I can't wait for April (or May, maybe?).
The month has been a total letdown and a great lesson in pure sucktitude.

From the supposed good (March Madness, spring break) to the bad (classes, midterms, a final, etc.)... it's all been horrible.

Oh... and I really need out.
Like really.
Before I go totally insane.

Anatomy

I know it's early in the semester (we just finished the 2nd week, and I've had 7 days of anatomy so far), but this class is going to be a major pain.

Physics Lab

So, of the 10 people that showed up at the introduction for the physics lab last week, I was the only one working on an economics major. Everyone else was psychology or biology or exercise science/physiology... and there was 1 pre-pharmacy student.

Of course, I guess it's not that unusual... it was probably true last semester too.

Introduction to Cellular Neurobiology

3240 Introduction to Cellular Neurobiology (3) Recommended Prerequsite: BIOL 2020 and PHYCS 2020.
Introduction to the anatomy, physiology, and chemistry of nervous systems at the cellular level.

Never before has a class sounded so interesting and yet ended up being so pathetically dull & boring that you want to bang your head into your desk every 3 minutes. The worst class I've ever taken... and that includes art classes. I suck at art.
