Amazing Concept!

Who'd have thunk it? Raising taxes on alcohol results in less drinking which leads to saving lives. Amazing there. I can't believe no one has thought of this before.

The American Beverage Licensees, which represents retailers of beer, wine and spirits, opposes alcohol tax increases.

Of course they do. In a world where money is everything, why would the give up the money that they'd lose when some people started drinking less? Who cares about peoples lives, after all?
