Tap On, Tap Off

So, UTA went to this new system (again, I promise something on UTA will be up eventually), where you "tap on" onto a machine with the new bus pass when you get on, and "tap off" when you get off. That way, they're able to better judge where the traffic is (and maybe they'll finally bring back the buses so that I have a way home... idiots!).

Nice idea.

Two problems...
1- If a ton of people are getting off in one place, it takes forever. I saw that today... like 15 people at one stop. And it was made worse because...
2- The machine doesn't always work. They were all trying to tap off... and they couldn't! They gave up after like 5 or 10 seconds, but still...

You'd think they'd make sure the machines work before implementing such a system. Of course, it is UTA... so that might be expecting too much.
