So, I recently read The House At Riverton by Kate Morton, after coming across the book at www.barnesandnoble.com. I'm not quite sure why I clicked on the book, but I did. And it seemed interesting. And it was a suspense/thriller, and that had me.
So I picked it up and finally got around to reading it. While it's not the normal type of mystery I read (Agatha Christie, anyone?), I have to say, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It took a bit to get going, and the seeming mystery mentioned in the online review (the death of a poet) doesn't happen until the very end of the flashback/book. But after it gets going, alternating between 'present-time' and flashback.
It's a surprise ending of sorts, and kinda depressing, now that I look back at it. That said, I'd still recommend it.
