The Beekeeper's Apprentice

Interesting book by Laurie R. King, featuring Sherlock Holmes, who takes an apprentice (Mary Russell), who is every much Holmes' equal. They set off to solve cases, the last of which puts death right at the doorsteps of both Holmes & Mary. And as it goes, it becomes clear that this is one of the most dangerous opponents Holmes' has ever faced.

The book is an alright read... kinda interesting to see Sherlock Holmes appear in a relatively new mystery. It's not a memorable mystery (at least not for someone that reads almost every Agatha Christie/Hercule Poirot he can get a hand on), but it's not really that bad either.
