Bheja Fry (2007)

An interesting, small time film.

One night in the life of a music director (Rajat Kapoor). As luck would have it on this day his wife (Sarika) has left him, he fears it's for the guy he stole her from (Milind Soman). There's the guy over for dinner (Vinay Pathak)... Rajat is in a group where every week one of the members brings someone else over for dinner (and make fun of them, more or less). No matter what he does, Vinay Pathak screws up. There's the nymphomaniac (Bhairavi Goswami), who Vinay calls instead of the doctor by accident when Rajat's back gives out. Throw in Vinay's friend (Ranvir Shorey) who comes over to help them when called and leaves with some really sad news.

It's a funny movie that is carried by Vinay Pathak, with some solid acting from the rest of the cast. In a movie like this, it comes down to the acting & the story/dialogues to make it work, and they come together well here.

Not a bad watch.
